TECs ESL Teacher Training, Fort Worth, TX

TECs* ESL Teacher Training prepares volunteers to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in a faith-based setting. The workshop provides hands-on teaching activities, tips for success, and useful resources. Participants benefit from the knowledge and expertise of experienced teacher trainers.

3.5-hour in-person training,  September 9, 2023, 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Includes online TECs Training Manual, 3 hours of online instruction and 3.5-hour in-person workshop.
Payment may be made online when registering or at workshop on September 9, 2023.

The online training MUST be completed before attending the in-person workshop.

Participants will receive a Literacy ConneXus training certificate for 6.5 hours upon completion.

Note:  Because most adult ESL students in Texas church ministries are beginners, the emphasis is on teaching that level. However, higher level teachers who have never attended a basic workshop will benefit from this training.  Many of the same techniques used for beginners are also appropriate for the higher levels.
