
TECs* ESL Teacher Training, Engaging English Learners 101 is a 7-hour training that prepares volunteers to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in a community-based or faith-affiliated setting. The workshop provides hands-on teaching activities, tips for success, and useful resources. Participants benefit from the knowledge and expertise of an experienced teacher trainer.

As soon as your registration is confirmed, the online TECs Training Manual and online training will be available. The online training MUST be completed before attending the in-person workshop.
CERTIFICATE:
Earn a 7-hour Literacy ConneXus certificate when you complete the workshop.

Note: Because most adult ESL students in church ministries are beginners, the emphasis is on teaching that level. However, higher level teachers who have never attended a basic workshop will benefit from this training. Many of the same techniques used for beginners are also appropriate for the higher levels.
