TECs Basic ESL Teacher Training, San Angelo, TX

TECs* Basic ESL Teacher Training prepares volunteers to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in a faith-based setting. The workshop provides hands-on teaching activities, tips for success, and useful resources. Participants benefit from the knowledge and expertise of experienced teacher trainers.

3 hours online self-paced instruction plus
4 hours in-person, January 8, 2023, 1:00 PM -5:00 PM

COST:  $25
Includes online Training Manual, 3 hours online training and 4 hours in-person training.
Payment may be made online when registering or at workshop on January 8, 2023.
 
REGISTRATION:  Required by Friday, January 6, 2023

The online training MUST be completed before attending the in-person workshop.

Literacy ConneXus training certificate is given when the 7 hours are completed.

Note:  Because most adult ESL students in Texas church ministries are beginners, the emphasis is on teaching that level. However, higher level teachers who have never attended a basic workshop will benefit from this training.  Many of the same techniques used for beginners are also appropriate for the higher levels.
